Hi guys!
I'm experimenting with Patreon for funding the last push towards an Inquisitive Dave sequel, so if you ever wanted to give me money then today is your lucky day!!

The game itself is almost at the point of being completable but unpolished - I'm aiming to have a stripped down demo by the end of the year (only one ending, no bonus areas) with a full version some time after.
There's a kind of messy initial trailer available, and regular screenshots on my developer Twitter.

It's been over a decade since I made Inquisitive Dave for Newgrounds while procrastinating from exams so the time feels just about right for a sequel!
The game itself is pretty ambitious - easily the biggest project I've worked on. I've set up a Twitter account for semi regular updates and will be setting up some sort of dev log when I have more things to show off :p
Newgrounds was a huge part of my learning to program and getting in to making games so I'm excited to be doing something ambitious with one of my old projects. Hopefully a couple of people have been around as long as me and remember the original game :)
The sequel is a C++ project I've been programming on and off for several years. This time a concerted effort is being made to finish it! The game is still a good year away from being in a finished state but if you're interested in it then I'll be providing more details and updates as time goes on :D

Yes, this game has now taken over a year to get to this stage with. Thankfully, I'm now slap bang in the middle of the final boss. Well, the second stage of the final boss. Out of like five.
And after all of that, I've only got organise all of my voice work, music, special features (lots of them), secret boss and debugging. A hell of a lot of debugging. I'm not thinking of how much I still need to do incase I get demotivated.
If all goes to plan, expect it to be released by the month's end. Or at the very least a little preview cobbled together out of unused material...
Final boss screenshot wheeeeee...

There's no point to this post - I just can't form the energy to do any work on my game today so I'm plugging what I've already done.
So far I'm a little over half way in and it's about 5MB without music added yet which is... worrying. Hopefully it'll be done soon!

You know what's great? China.
You know what else is great? Newgrounds. And you know why it's great? Because of China.
I hope everone else is having a productive day. Unfortunately I can't spend all my time posting here. I would just like to stress that I am under no discomfort whatsoever at this present moment in time, and that my human rights are being observed fully.
Happy day!
